MAX NUMB Cream is used for:
Relieving pain of normal intact skin and numbing skin to pain from injections and other medical procedures.
MAX NUMB Cream is used as a local anaesthetic (i.e. for pain relief) on the skin prior to procedures. These procedures may include taking blood samples, skin grafting, cleaning leg ulcers or inserting intravenous catheters. MAX NUMB Cream is a mixture of two local anaesthetics, lignocaine and prilocaine. These local anaesthetics are combined with special agents which allow the products to pass through the skin. Once through the skin the numbing effect they produce allows minor surgical procedures to be done without you feeling any pain. However you may still experience sensations such as pressure and touch in this area. MAX NUMB Cream is not addictive. This product is available in different sizes and as a cream in a tube or as patches.

What is MAX NUMB?
MAX NUMB contains lidocaine, a substance that has been used for many years as anesthetics in medical and dental offices. MAX NUMB contains more of a pure form of lidocaine which acts as the topical anesthetic cream for the skin. The purity is very important, because not all lidocaine is manufactured and refined as MAX NUMB has been. Pain is caused by the stimulation of pain receptors at the ends of the nerves. The stimulation causes sodium to enter the nerve ending, which causes an electrical signal to build up in the nerve. When this electrical signal is big enough, it passes along the nerve to the brain, where the signal is interpreted as pain. MAX NUMB works by temporarily blocking this pathway of pain signals along nerves. MAX NUMB topical anesthetic cream does this by stopping the sodium entering the nerve ending at the site of the pain. This prevents an electrical signal building up and passing along the nerve fibers to the brain
