Beautiful Anawangin was made by a disaster a couple of decades ago. Locals say that the area used to be rocky but after Mt. Pinatubo's eruption, the place was covered with volcanic ash that now acted as the sand and shores. Then agoho trees started to grow, creating an evergreen forest of what seems like pine trees.
A very special place indeed. A reminder of the power and beauty nature creates.
