One activity that shouldn't be missed while in Legazpi is going to the foot of Mayon Volcano where cooled lava rocks can be seen from the 2006 eruption. This is the nearest trip one can experience to behold the power and unpredictability of the beautiful Mt Mayon Volcano.
You can do this by going on an adventure driving on an ATV to this area or go on a comfortable shared ride on a 4x4 vehicle. When you reach the base camp, take the 5-10 minute short trek to lavafront, for viewing, at helipad. This is of easy to medium difficulty, with guide to assist.
