ITINERARY

DAY 01 ARRIVAL IN ROME (No Meals)

Upon arrival in Rome, meet the driver then transfer to hotel for check in. Standard check in time, 1500hrs.

 

 

DAY 02 ROME (B)

After breakfast at hotel, proceed to Via Vittorio Emanuele Orlando 95 (on your own) at 08:30 am where the tour starts. Please be at the departure point 30 minutes prior the time. Take this tour around the Vatican Museums, Sistine Chapel, St. Peter’s Basilica and other Major Basilicas and Catacombs with this fantastic opportunity! The Vatican Museums attract millions of tourists every year and it’s clear to see why. Come and see for yourself, the beautiful artwork and artefacts which inhabit the museums from Vincent Van Gogh’s Piet�, after Delacroix, which is housed in the Collection of Modern Religious Art, to the Augustus of Prima Porta in the Braccio Nuovo. The various sculptures and paintings are a sight to behold and at night they’re even more so. After the visit to the Museums you will be taken to the renowned Sistine Chapel, the official residence of the Pope in Vatican City. Get a taste of the architecture and art which has gone into making the Sistine Chapel what it is today, with work from some of Italy’s most famous Renaissance artists, including Michelangelo and Pinturicchio. See the gorgeous Sistine Chapel Ceiling, covered in art including The Creation of Adam and many more pieces by Michelangelo. This tour is not to be missed! Afterwards enjoy a journey through Basilicas, Catacombs and the ancient streets of Rome. With this tour you’ll be able to visit the major Christian sights of this ancient city as you venture into the underground cemeteries and hiding places of the Christians. DAY 03 ROME – FLORENCE – ROME (B/L)

After breakfast at hotel, proceed to Via Vittorio Emanuele Orlando 95 (on your own) at 07:30 am where the tour starts. Please be at the departure point 30 minutes prior the time. Take a stroll through the beautiful city of Florence at your own pace, passing by some of the city’s most famous landmarks. Pass by sights such as the Palazzo Pitti, one of the most renowned renaissance palaces in the city. The palace is not far from the Ponte Vecchio, the famous stone bridge which once held small markets and is now famously still home to many shops. The Ponte Vecchio is one of Florence’s most famous landmarks and is well worth a visit while you’re in the city. Enter the splendid Uffizi Gallery, home to some of the world’s most famous paintings from the renaissance masters. See their collection of works from Da Vinci to Botticelli, Titian to El Greco and many more. The gallery is a definite place to visit for those who have a particular interest in art, or even just the Italian Renaissance period in Italy. After walking around the city you’ll be able to have a fantastic lunch in a restaurant located in the great Santa Croce Square, in the heart of Florence. Experience fine dining and Italian cuisine in an authentic Florentine restaurant and savour the delicious food as you admire the stunning backdrop. Ends at one of “I Love Rome” bus stops in city centre: Via Ludovisi – Piazza Barberini – Largo S.Susanna – Via Cavour – Piazza Vittorio Emanuele. DAY 04 ROME (B)

After breakfast at hotel, proceed in front of the Colosseo metro stop - Rome - IT (on your own) at 09:45 am where the tour starts. Please be at the departure point 30 minutes prior the time. Your professional guide will take you directly inside the Colosseum and the Roman Forum passing the long lines at the entrance. Hear stories of gladiator fights while exploring the Colosseum's first and second tire, learn about monuments like the Curia inside the Roman Forum, admire the Capitoline Hill and it's great view over the Roman Forum and enjoy photo stops at Rome’s big-name attractions such as Piazza Venezia, Largo di Torre Argentina, Pantheon and Piazza Navona. Transfer back to hotel from the departure point is on pax account.

 

 

DAY 05 ROME – TUSCANY – ROME (B)

After breakfast at hotel, proceed to Piazza del Popolo - Rome - IT (on your own) at 07:30 am where the tour starts. Please be at the departure point 30 minutes prior the time. Escape the hustle and bustle of Rome and retreat to the rustic charms of Tuscany with this guided tour that takes in rolling countryside, historic towns and hearty cuisine. You will visit the scenic region of the Val d’Orcia, which is famed for its gentle rolling hills, occasionally punctured by picturesque towns such as Montalcino, Pienza and Montepulciano. Such is its beauty that the whole valley has been declared a Unesco World Heritage Site. Indulge in Montalcino, a stunning hill town that is the centre of the Brunello di Montalcino wine producing region. Protected by medieval walls and fortress, it has more than 20 historic religious buildings. We will then visit the wine cellar of Tenuta Poggio il Castellare for a traditional Tuscan lunch and taste three local wines. Wander the almost-perfect streets Pienza, a town that was one of the world’s first examples of urban planning. It was the home town of Pope Pius II and under his auspices, it was demolished and rebuilt as an ‘ideal town’ featuring the best of Renaissance architecture. Pienza is also a Unesco World Heritage Site. Along the main street you will find grocers selling varieties of pecorino cheese as well as antique shops. Discover Montepulciano and be seduced by the timeless beauty of this hill town, by its impressive architecture and its excellent wines. At its heart is the Piazza Grande, dominated by the cathedral, which contains priceless religious works of art. The town also has a number of outstanding civil and religious buildings, including the emblematic Tower of Pulcinella. Transfer back to hotel from the departure point is on pax account.

DAY 06 DEPARTURE IN ROME (B)

After breakfast at hotel, free time then check out until time to transfer to airport for your flight back to Manila. Maximum 1 luggage is allowed per person. Standard check out time is 1100H.
