Barili is located 61 km (38 mi) southwest of Cebu City. It borders on Dumanjug to the south; to the north with Aloguinsan; to the east with Carcar and Sibonga; and to the west lies the Tañon Strait. Its main tourist attraction is the Mantayupan Falls.

Barili is a municipality located 61 kilometers southwest of Cebu City. It is a second-class income municipality bounded by Dumanjug in the south, Aloguinsan in the north and Carcar to the east. Barili has a lot of other tourist destinations like Boloc-boloc springs; Candugay and Sayaw Beaches; and the Paradise Valley Mountain Resort. Its main tourist destinations though are Mantayupan Falls and Molave Milk Station; the places we chose to visit in Barili.

How to get there we took a bus from South Bus Terminal in Cebu City with the route Bato – via Barili. This part is important to note as there are other buses marked Bato – via Oslob and these take you to the other side of Cebu. Prepare your bum for the 2 hours “Bato – via Barili” slightly scenic bus ride until the Shamrock stopover; you can’t miss it. All Bato – via Barili buses stop by Shamrock. If you want, you can eat your snacks at Shamrock; they serve biscuits and meals or walk to the nearby 7/11, your number one convenience store chain in the country. (We honestly didn’t expect that there’d be a 7/11 in Barili )
