For AMO, you may take COSH before taking AMO seminar because there are learnings from COSH that is expected of you as AMO when you attend the AMO seminar - this is as per our former COSH graduates who are took AMO after COSH. PCAB requires AMO to undergo 2-day AMO seminar. This is conducted by DTI.

PCAB requires AMO and STE to undergo COSH training. It is a 40 hours or 4 days training for AMO and STE. If the AMO is a PRC licensed engineer or architect with at least 3 years experience, he can be the AMO and STE at the same time. If this is the case, then only 1 person needs to undergo COSH. If the AMO is not an engineer, another employee, an STE must be hired by the AMO and he/she should also attend COSH training. Note that contracting companies need a safety officer per site or project location. An SO must undergo COSH training to meet PCAB requirement for SO.
