Nagsasa Cove's shoreline, coral reefs, and mountain forests were destroyed some 20 years ago when Mt.Pinatubo spewed out dark clouds of ash and thick, flowing lahar. Years later, Nagsasa’s shoreline turned up a beautiful ash-gray beach that turns almost white at noon. From the sand grew rows of agoho trees with their pine-like needles, which weren’t there before the eruption. Bamboo and grass, which turn golden brown during summer, thrive and bring beauty to Nagsasa’s mountains. Truly beauty imporved by nature.
