Ang Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) ay pormal na naglunsad ng mga bagong disenyo para sa mga barya sa Pilipinas.
Inilalarawan bilang serye ng New Generation Coin, ang mga bagong disenyo ay nagtatampok ng tatlong mga pambansang bayani ng bansa, mga halaman na matatagpuan lamang sa Pilipinas, iba’t ibang mga pagpapahusay ng seguridad pati na rin ang mga bagong materyales, ayon sa BSP.
